Shipping policy
1. Order Processing and Scheduling
1.1 Once an order is confirmed, it enters Swell Sport’s internal scheduling, preparation, and production workflow.
1.2 Orders progress through preparation, quality checks, materials allocation, scheduling, and freight coordination.
1.3 Processing timeframes vary depending on product type, configuration, stock availability, production volume, seasonal demand, and import cycles.
1.4 Estimated processing times may range from approximately one week to eight weeks. These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
1.5 You will be notified once your order has been scheduled for dispatch. Dispatch notification may occur prior to physical departure due to freight coordination requirements.
1.6 Submission of an order does not guarantee immediate production, dispatch, or delivery until formally confirmed by Swell Sport.
2. Shipping Prices and Freight Charges
2.1 Swell Sport arranges shipping through domestic road freight partners and approved international carriers for New Zealand deliveries.
2.2 Freight carriers are selected based on availability, capability, route suitability, handling requirements, and operational efficiency.
2.3 Shipping prices shown at checkout represent the final freight charge payable at the time of purchase.
2.4 All freight charges are payable upfront.
2.5 Freight pricing is inherently variable and may change due to carrier rates, fuel surcharges, handling requirements, route changes, or industry conditions beyond Swell Sport’s control.
3. Shipping Timeframes
3.1 Once an order has been dispatched, transit times vary depending on destination, carrier routing, freight volume, and regional access.
3.2 Metropolitan deliveries are generally quicker than regional, rural, or remote deliveries.
3.3 Deliveries to New Zealand may require additional transit time due to international freight handling and customs clearance.
3.4 All shipping timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
4. Delivery Method
4.1 All sauna and ice bath deliveries are palletised freight deliveries.
4.2 Deliveries are completed at the closest safe and accessible point as determined solely by the freight carrier, typically kerbside or at the front of the property.
4.3 Drivers do not enter homes, garages, yards, buildings, or installation areas.
4.4 Drivers do not move items upstairs, across uneven terrain, or into final placement positions.
4.5 Customers are responsible for arranging additional labour, equipment, or access solutions if required after delivery.
5. Delivery Access Requirements
5.1 Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible for large freight vehicles.
5.2 Access must be safe, unobstructed, level, and suitable for pallet unloading.
5.3 If delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access, unsafe conditions, incorrect delivery information, or customer unavailability, the shipment may be redirected to a freight depot.
5.4 Any depot collection, storage fees, redelivery charges, or additional handling costs are the responsibility of the customer.
6. Shipping Delays
6.1 Production and shipping timeframes are estimates only.
6.2 Delays may occur due to factors outside Swell Sport’s control, including carrier backlogs, freight congestion, customs inspections, material shortages, manufacturing load, weather events, industrial action, or other force majeure circumstances.
6.3 Delays of any duration do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or compensation.
6.4 Swell Sport will provide updates where reasonably possible, however continuous tracking or real time updates are not always available.
7. Delivery Inspection
7.1 Customers must inspect all deliveries immediately upon arrival and before signing any delivery documentation.
7.2 If visible damage is present, customers must photograph the damage, clearly note it on the delivery paperwork, and notify Swell Sport immediately.
7.3 Signing delivery documentation without inspection constitutes acceptance that the product was delivered in acceptable condition.
7.4 Concealed damage discovered after opening the crate must be reported within twenty four hours of delivery, along with clear photographic evidence.
7.5 Claims submitted outside this timeframe may be rejected unless exceptional circumstances apply.
8. Risk Transfer and Storage After Delivery
8.1 Responsibility for the product transfers to the customer immediately upon delivery to the confirmed address, regardless of whether the customer is present at the time of delivery.
8.2 From the moment of delivery, the customer is responsible for handling, protection, and storage of all components.
8.3 All components must be stored indoors in a dry, covered, stable, and temperature controlled environment until installation.
8.4 Timber components are sensitive to moisture. Exposure to rain, humidity, condensation, or direct sunlight may cause warping, swelling, mould, or deterioration not covered under warranty.
8.5 If the crate is damaged, opened, or compromised upon arrival, all contents must be relocated indoors immediately.
9. Failed or Missed Deliveries
9.1 If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to access issues, customer unavailability, or incorrect delivery details, the shipment may be redirected to a freight depot.
9.2 Customers are responsible for collecting goods from the depot or paying any applicable redelivery fees.
9.3 Storage fees charged by freight providers must be paid before goods are released.
10. Shipping Locations
10.1 Swell Sport delivers to most major regions across Australia and New Zealand.
10.2 Rural, remote, or restricted access locations may require custom freight arrangements and extended transit times.
10.3 Customers are encouraged to contact Swell Sport prior to ordering if unsure about delivery access or location suitability.
11. Freight Damage and Faults
11.1 Swell Sport works closely with freight partners to ensure careful handling, however it cannot control handling once goods are in transit.
11.2 Damage caused by improper storage, handling after delivery, or failure to follow freight instructions is not covered.
11.3 Confirmed manufacturing faults are handled separately under the Warranty Policy and Return and Refund Policy.
12. Relationship to Other Policies
12.1 This Shipping Policy operates alongside Swell Sport’s Terms and Conditions, Return and Refund Policy, and Warranty Policy.
12.2 In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms and Conditions prevail.
13. Final Authority
13.1 All shipping, delivery, freight, access, and timing decisions are made by Swell Sport in accordance with this Shipping Policy and the Terms and Conditions.
13.2 Verbal assurances, assumptions, estimated timeframes, or external carrier representations do not override this policy.
13.3 By placing an order, the customer confirms acceptance of this Shipping Policy in full.
