Warranty Coverage Summary

All Swell Sport products are covered by the following manufacturer warranties, effective from the date of delivery. Warranty coverage applies only when installation and maintenance guidelines have been followed.

Warranty covers manufacturing and structural defects only. Cosmetic imperfections, natural timber variations, and normal wear and tear are not defects.

Warranty Registration and Documentation

To maintain eligibility for warranty coverage, Swell Sport may request proof of installation, photographic evidence of setup, or confirmation that maintenance guidelines were followed. Failure to provide requested evidence may delay or void warranty claims.

Residential and Commercial Use

Warranty coverage is categorised as either Residential or Commercial. Any product that experiences usage beyond what is typical for a private household, including frequent, continuous, or shared-user operation, will be deemed Commercial use for warranty purposes, regardless of where it is installed.

Sauna Warranty and Care

Warranty remains valid only if the sauna is installed and maintained according to Swell Sport guidelines. Improper assembly or lack of maintenance may void coverage.

Enhanced Maintenance for Commercial Use

  • Re-oil timber surfaces every 6 months.
  • Perform monthly system inspections.
  • Document each maintenance activity including date and technician name.
  • Ensure proper ventilation and apply the bake and breathe method after sessions.

Installation and Usage Conditions

  • Do not assemble in rain or wet conditions.
  • LED transformers must be installed externally.
  • Ensure correct ventilation around the sauna.

Timber and Weather Disclaimer

Natural variations in timber such as small cracks, knots, and tonal changes are expected. These characteristics do not affect performance and are not considered defects.

Ice Bath Warranty and Care

Warranty applies only when the ice bath is maintained according to Swell Sport cleaning and operation guidelines. Improper setup or water management may void warranty coverage.

Enhanced Maintenance for Commercial Use

  • Weekly inspection of filters, hoses, and fittings.
  • Monthly water chemistry testing and record keeping.
  • Quarterly deep cleaning of the chiller system.
  • Maintenance log must record date, performed task, and staff member.

Installation and Usage Conditions

  • Do not operate within 12 hours of installation or relocation.
  • Ensure clear airflow and unrestricted ventilation around the chiller.
  • Use only Swell Sport approved cleaning agents and sanitising products.

Warranty Exclusions

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic imperfections, or natural timber variation.
  • Damage from incorrect installation, poor ventilation, or water ingress.
  • Power surges, weather events, or unauthorised modifications.
  • Use of unapproved cleaning chemicals or sanitising products.
  • Neglect, lack of maintenance, or non compliance with care requirements.
  • Consumables such as filters, seals, hoses, or covers.
  • Damage from relocation after initial installation.
  • Any indirect loss including downtime or lost income.

Right to Repair, Replace or Refund

Swell Sport reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund at its discretion. If a repair is uneconomical, Swell Sport may offer:

  • A refurbished or replacement unit at a discounted rate.
  • A partial refund or trade in credit towards a new product.

Replacement parts carry a six month warranty from the date of replacement. This does not reset the original product warranty period.

Australian Consumer Law

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Swell Sport products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
